Building software to redefine how AWS builds and operates regions.
  • Designing and implementing a new pub/sub architecture service from scratch to automatically track near real time progress of a new service release in Amazon Dedicated Cloud (and Commercial) regions to save teams thousands of minutes throughout the launch cycle.
  • Architecting and writing a backend REST API service interacting with a NoSQL database that will serve and ingest data to/from a React UI.
  • Using AWS Cloud Development Kit to automate the cloud infrastructure setup to easily replicate to different development environments.
  • Designed and implemented multiple REST API endpoints for AWS Drift which is used by all AWS services to track parity in deployed software among different AWS regions to ensure customers are using the latest and most secure software in all regions.
  • Built an internal website using React, API Gateway and a Lambda backend with appropriate authentication to serve downloadable logs to teams across AWS.
  • Maintaining and improving existing services owned by the team including owning the DevOps and testing infrastructure.

Developing, implementing and deploying metrics extracted from text data in multiple languages
  • Spearheaded the development of a suite of cognitive assessment metrics extracted from text in 12 languages.
  • Lead the design, implementation, testing and deployment of the text based metric code base from scratch which has contributed directly to help the company raise $15M in Series A funding.
  • Architected an OOP caching framework to enable metrics to run in production with real time results. Improved the compute time by 50%.
  • Built the core metric in the backend to predict a patient’s lung capacity using their speech and demographics for Mass General Hospital.
  • Implemented a transcription service in AWS that is triggered as soon new audio comes into the DB from prototype to production.
  • Designed and implemented an automatic audio and text data QA mechanism on AWS to save hundreds of dollars and resources per month.
  • Coordinated cross functional collaboration towards the company’s research to develop state of the art speech analytics technology.

Designing and developing AI solutions for diverse intelligent products
  • Designed an interactive prototype solution for Starbucks to solve the online order collection counter problem. Deployed the software on a Raspberry Pi 3 using computer vision and an interactive UI to deploy which can handle multiple cups at once.
  • Designed a tree structured context-based architecture for a conversational AI agent. Developed an AI agent that models conversations around a user’s personality and emotions. Integrated the model REST API to a chat UI to deploy the bot on a server.
  • Developed a model for identifying contextual relationships in text using dilated CNNs to reduce overfitting over the baseline systems.
  • Finished second in an NLP workshop task at AAAI 2019. Presented a talk and poster.

Researching and studying about common customer choices
  • Applied machine learning algorithms on customer data to cluster and classify customer choices which helped to understand the customer preferences better.
  • Processed the raw data into MongoDB to make it more accessible in the future and applied various out of the box sentiment analysis solutions on it.
  • Developed and deployed REST API in Python for the model ready to be used in production.
